Welcome to Vacant Era Films!

Norman's independent film company.

It was 2006 when Cory Allen and Randy Aspell first entertained the idea of creating a film. In the midst of writing the script, they both began to question the void with filmmaking in Oklahoma.  They wanted to help fill that void by taking an aggressive approach to filming, distributing, and assisting other filmmakers within the state.  Subsequently, Vacant Era Films was established with the purpose of providing an outlet for Oklahoma filmmakers and with providing more resources for those Oklahomans interested in filmmaking.  Soon after, a plan was developed including a new film festival that would consequently pave the way for the creative rebirth of what Vacant Era calls "The Oklahoma Film Movement".

In order to make the Vacant Era idea a reality, company ownership expanded to include Madison Belanger, Carey Bell, Meleah Montgomery, Kat Avila, and Anthony Pego...the official board for Vacant Era Films, LLC.

Vacant Era also brought in key individuals, such as Dallos Paz,  who are apart of the company and have collectively devoted their time to make Vacant Era Films a success.

In 2008, Vacant Era Films will hold it's first film festival and begin filming their first full-length feature.
